Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)

Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)

We offer Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to help families gain a deeper understanding of their child’s strengths, challenges, and educational needs.

An IEE is a comprehensive evaluation completed by a qualified professional outside of the school district and may be requested when families would like additional insight or disagree with the results of a school-based evaluation.

Our evaluations are neurodiversity-affirming, child-centered, and focused on understanding how a child functions within everyday school and life demands. We assess areas that may impact educational participation and success, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, attention and regulation, social participation, emotional regulation, handwriting, and independence with school-related tasks.

Each evaluation includes a detailed written report with educational impact statements, individualized recommendations, classroom strategies, sensory supports, and guidance for next steps when appropriate. Our goal is to help families feel informed, supported, and empowered in advocating for their child’s needs.

We believe evaluations should provide clarity, validation, and practical support — while recognizing and honoring each child’s unique strengths and differences.
